Yoga Nidra is a restorative yoga. It is also known as Divine Sleep Yoga.
All that is required of you is to lie down and listen and experience deep relaxation. 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra is the same as 3 hours of healthy sleep! The practice of Yoga Nidra has been found to reduce stress, tension and anxiety.
There are two modes of function of the autonomic nervous system, fight or flight response and the relaxation response. Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra allows us to relax and bring us into a state of self-healing and peace. This has many proven effects for health, healing and wellness including counteracting stress. It is a highly effective tool for stress management.
